Step by Step SharePoint Server 2013 Preview Installation

Step – 1 : Install Software Pr-requisite:

Please note that per-requisite installer requires internet connectivity because it will download most of these pre-requisites during the installation process. FIX: IIS 7.5 configurations are not updated when you use the Server Manager class to commit configuration changes – http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2708075

You cannot customize some TCP configurations by using the netsh command in Windows Server 2008 R2        – http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2472264

Run windows update until there are no more windows update requires before moving on next steps Reboot the machine before moving on next step

Install SharePoint 2013 Preview:

Run the SharePoint 2013 Preview.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enter the key required by SharePoint 2013 Preview – 6RNT8-XV26M-GWH36-VMGQH-94MMH & click on Install Now. This should install all the bits including registry entries and registering services.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Accept License Terms

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Choose installation type (standalone or server farm) or server type (complete or stand-alone) installation.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Unchecked box and click close. Run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration to configure the SharePoint 2013 environment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Create New Server Farm – Create a new Server Farm, Database Server Name and Account – Use the Administrator account , Farm Security Settings – Passphrase, Central Administration Web Site Settings, Authentication Provider – NTLM etc.
